BICO Steel has acquired RE Metal Finishing, further developing its extensive steel processing and fabrication capabilities.

Based in Kent, Ohio, RE Metal Finishing, which has been renamed BICO Metal Finishing, provides steel peening and metal finishing services to a variety of industrial customers.  

BICO is a highly-specialized processor of heavy carbon steel plate and forged specialty alloy steel, with locations in Akron, Ohio, Kent, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Breckenridge, Michigan.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1896, BICO Steel is a highly-specialized processor of heavy carbon steel plate and forged specialty alloy steel used primarily in the production of quality-critical, high-performance products used in the molding, process equipment, tool and die, and capital equipment industries.
