Trisha Diercks joined RIE Coatings as the Chief Financial Officer of the Minnesota-based finishing organization.
Diercks will be responsible for the finance, accounting, human resources, and IT teams. CEO John Warne says Diercks will work as a key member of the RIE executive team to help manage the current business and play an integral role in future acquisitions.
“She will also work closely with our partners on the PNC Mezzanine Capital team to help lead our financial initiatives, both day-to-day and strategic,” Warne says.
Diercks has a Bachelor's and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She began her career at Cargill, where she held positions of growing responsibility in the accounting and IT departments for over 10 years.
Diercks is joining RIE after spending nearly another decade — with the last six years as Vice President of Finance — as part of Element Materials Technology, a global testing and certification organization headquartered in the United Kingdom.
“Trisha has been an integral leader with financial management and acquisition work while at Element,” Warne says.
Diercks lives in Eden Prairie, MN. with her husband and two children.
RIE provides chemical and corrosion protection, abrasion resistance, heat dissipation, and dry film lubrication for a wide variety of applications. It has provided the impetus and expertise to large companies that have seen the need to move from traditional zinc plating or galvanizing to thin-film protective coatings.
RIE Coatings is a portfolio company of PNC Mezzanine Capital. In 2023, RIE acquired Kaehr Corporation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Kaehr offers a wide range of metal finishing capabilities in the U.S. Southwest, including anodizing, specialty plating, chromate conversion, powder coating, painting, surface preparation, and passivation.
