Tej PatelTej PatelThe sealing of the anodic coating is a critical process step to ensure product quality and durability for any application when anodizing parts.  There are a number of different types of seal chemistries each with their own unique chemical additives and play a major role in seal quality.

Patel is a Director at Techevon, and Sonejee is an R&D Engineer at Techevon. They discuss the various types of seal chemistry and how best to understand the role that chemical additives can play in achieving superior anodizing seal quality.  Furthermore, they will address how to manage sealing issues such as dye bleed, smut, water staining, and seal test failure.

Tej has over 15 years of consulting and industry experience specializing in the areas of the supply chain, operations improvement, and Lean manufacturing. Prior to joining Techevon, he was a Vice President at AlixPartners, a leading global consulting firm.  Additionally, he has held positions at Baxter Inc., a Fortune 150 medical products manufacturer, and Archstone Consulting.  Tej holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Operations, Strategy, and Marketing in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Archana SonejeeArchana SonejeeArchana joined Techevon as a R&D Chemical Engineer in February 2019 and has operational and research responsibilities. She performs laboratory studies and tests on a pilot plant scale for the company's product formulations, processes, and product application according to customer needs. Archana received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Mumbai University, India respectively.
